Happy New Year from Clarkston Snowsports!
"A Happy New Year from Clarkston Snowsports. Our event at Xscape in November was a tremendous success and we have many new members on board as a result. We were also happy to help at the Bid Event on 24th November in the station car park. Our first social event was on 30 December at Cafe Roma which was a lovely relaxed family evening - our thanks to Jim and the team for a brilliant night ahead of Hogmanay. The first bus went to Cairngorm on 6 January and despite the thaw and somewhat limited runs, there was enough snow to spend the whole day on the hill blowing off those cobwebs. The next bus is scheduled for 27 January (with local pickup points - Eaglesham, Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Giffnock, Shawlands, Charing Cross ...... plus other requests considered). Lots of snow on the way so do get in touch. Please call 07714 983305 (Fergus) or email us - info@clarkstonsnowsports.co.uk - for further detail. Individual, student and family memberships available, see website for details".

At Your Leisure Find the Clarkston Treasure!
A tattered map and some accompanying clues have been found inside an old book recently handed in to a local charity shop. It is believed the book once belonged to the family of Doug Stone, a 19th century quarryman. Rumour has it that he discovered buried treasure while working in nearby Giffnock Quarry and secretly reburied it before his untimely death just a few days later.
Can you solve the clues and discover the location of the hidden treasure?

Clarkston BID Business Forum
Monday, 19th March, 6pm, Clarkston Halls
Debra Clapham of Claphams Solicitors, the new BID Chair, welcomes you to the first 2012 Business Forum
I am fully aware that these are challenging times not only for Clarkston but for the whole country. However as a local solicitor with an office in Clarkston. I firmly believe that the current challenges can be met by us all developing a sense of a business community. As an original ‘NO’ voter to the BID I am now thoroughly convinced that we should all take advantage of the opportunities that the BID has to offer to Clarkston.
Let’s meet and discuss what we can do together. I assure you there will be plenty of time for constructive discussion.
